Stenciling My Imperial Trellis Wall

I've been in love with the Imperial Trellis pattern for a few years now.  I first had throw pillows with the pattern and they are still my favorite pillows to this date.  I knew that I wanted to incorporate that pattern somewhere in my house and when I looked at my blank white dining room wall, I thought that Imperial Trellis wall paper would make such a statement there.  I then googled "Imperial Trellis wallpaper" and I was so in love.  I came across many pictures that inspired me but this collage really spoke to me.

I found the website that sold this wallpaper in gray & black and then saw the price ($170 a roll).  It was a "no" for me dawg.  I knew that I wanted an Imperial Trellis wall, but where would I find inexpensive Imperial Trellis wallpaper that was within my budget?

Duh, Nikki!  Wall stencils!  I researched stencils and found one on Etsy for $35.  It got good reviews, so I was excited.  It shipped fast and when it was time for me to paint the wall, my excitement disappeared.  Only because that "Chevron wall from Hades" discouraged me.  I did that wall first so I didn't know if this wall was going to be as hard or not, but I had already ordered the stencil and I already visualized that patten on my wall so many times.  I felt that I had no other choice.

I am so glad that I listened to that inner voice.  This stencil and that chevron stencil were like night and day.

It's obvious by looking at them, but the ease of doing this wall is very much appreciated.  The process only took about 2.5 hours and it was as simple as these pictures show:
