Painting Kitchen Cabinets Without Removing the Doors
The day that I painted my kitchen cabinets, I didn't wake up saying "I want my cabinets painted". It was an impulse and one that I do not regret. It updated the kitchen by at least 15 years. The wood stain with the "orange tint" was so 1990. I had paint leftover from painting my dining room and I had plenty of supplies so I was game!
As the guys from Empire laid down the floor throughout the rest of the condo, I was stuck in the kitchen anyway, so I pulled up a YouTube video on how to paint kitchen cabinets without removing the doors. The facilitator on the video's secret was simple. Use a small art brush to paint around the cabinet's hardware. At the moment, I had everything except art brushes so I did that part last. I simply masked off the hardware with painters tape and painted the rest. After the floors were done, I went down the street to Walgreens for art brushes. It worked like a charm!
